Cracked- Ceramics Exhibition

Woohoo :) We had our first exhibition last week :) It was exciting. I didn't manage to produce any ceramics for it but well... you could see my sketchbook and paper models :) I am just starting my clay work now - was off for work experience for a week. Anyway here are some photos from the exhibition, enjoy :) My work Martyna Wysocka's work Nicola Dunne's and Kate Stoica's works. Aidan Power's stand. My business cards :)

Oldies

I decided to put some photos from last year just to broaden the perspective of my work :) Samosas teapots  Collection project Hunt museum project

Model-making stage

For last 2 weeks I was playing with paper. I started with simple forms and then looked at Origami and ways of creating patterns on paper by folding it. Here are some of my results (Let me know what you think about them) I was also researching designs inspired by Origami and there is lot of reference in architecture and furniture design but also in ceramics :)  here are some cool examples   and ceramic ones .

Sketchbook

As I said in my previous post I have been working in my sketchbook for a week now and have some nice things going on. I am concentrating on straight lines and ways to break them with messy ones. I started with trees. Trees making patterns and trees with straight lines. Architectural details. Shadows. Different marks for branches. Collage for the shadows.
